No established or gold standard treatment of hair loss has been known till date. Mostly the hair loss therapy aims to reduce or block DHT, increase anagen, decrease catagen/telogen phase and control hair miniaturization.
The anti hair loss therapy can be of following types:-
1. Medications: The first line
Minoxidil, Finasteride, Dutasteride, etc. are potent 5 alpha reductase inhibitor or DHT blocker. These drugs mostly controls effect of DHT on sensitive hair. Minoxidil also increases blood circulation thereby increasing hair growth. Diuretics and other drugs have been used with some success in hair loss. Multivitamins and supplements are used to correct nutritional deficiencies.
Many researchers and companies have explored role Vitamins (A, D, E, C, B12 biotin), amino acids, caffeine, procapil, saw palmetto, rosemary oil, peppermint oil, pumpkin seed extracts, capsaicin, curcumin, melatonin, garlic gel, marine proteins, onion juice, procyanidin, taurine, collagen peptides, selenium, zinc, etc. to treat hair loss.
The possible side effects of using topical minoxidil can be scalp irritation, allergies, flaking, unwanted hair growth, etc. Finasteride & Dutasteride can lead to sexual dysfunction, decreased sperm counts or low libido.
2. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP): An elixir for hair
Many clinics will claim unusual or guaranteed results from PRP but the fact is PRP do give results but these results can be variable. PRP is a good approach to gain some hair not all and also boost hair growth.
More commonly known as PRP is a wonder substance in hair loss, cosmetics and regenerative science. Our centre uses PRP in hair regeneration, wound healing, facial asthetics and dental sciences with excellent results. The doctor will draw blood from the patient (10-20ml) and will centrifuge it under controlled conditions. We use PRP, iPRF, PRF, etc. depending upon the situation. Then the platelet rich plasma is extracted and is injected on scalp or desired areas. The technique employed at our centre is extremely effective, safe, economical and yields good results. 3. Mesotherapy and Dermaroller: When & how
Another effective tool in controlling hair loss is mesotherapy and microneedling. The mesotherapy is highly pure, concentrated, safe cocktail mix of hair loss medications, essential amino acids and vitamins. The meso solutions can be applied or injected in scalp with the help of dermaroller or microneedling device.

4. Laser: Light for hair growth.
Application of low level laser therapy (LLLT) has been known to achieve good results in hair loss. Different laser devices and laser combs available as in office or at home treatment modalities to stimulate epidermal stem cells and hair growth.
5. Hair Transplant: Restore your looks
Hair transplant is an option for correction of baldness. Two techniques are widely used which are FUT and FUE. Both the techniques carry advantages and disadvantages over one another.
Follicular unit transplantation or strip technique is a process where a strip of scalp is cut from back region and is divided into grafts and is transplanted on recipient area. The technique is considered to give good result an density with less graft failure but scar, pain, nerve injury, discomfort are some common complications. Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a procedure where individual grafts are harvested with punches and then are transplanted in bald area. FUE has comparatively less pain and does not give linear scar of FUT.
